My private psychotherapy/counselling practice for
men, women and couples has operated in Marlborough since January 2004.
From 1990 to 1998, I was in private counselling practice in
Christchurch. During this time, I also worked for the Christchurch
Family Trust (now known as Family Help Trust) as a psychotherapist in
a multi-disciplinary team working with paroled men and their families.
I also provide counselling and facilitation services for a number of
agencies including several EAP providers (counselling through
work-based funded programmes) and I also work on contract providing
counselling for personnel for RNZAF - Woodbourne Base.
I am a contract counsellor for the Smart programme
– a Marlborough PHO mental health initiative providing early
intervention counselling and in some cases, psychotherapy, for clients
who present to their GP's with early signs of depression.
I am also a trained LifeLine counsellor and I have
internationally recognized training in Critical Incident Stress
Management Training (for sudden trauma situations e.g. road/rail/sea
accidents, workplace suicide, sudden death etc) and work with a number
of EAP organizations providing onsite critical incidence support.
For over 15 years, I provided in-house counselling, staff and
management training and senior management mentoring for many
Government bodies, large corporate organisations and businesses in
both Christchurch and other New Zealand centres. QUALIFICATIONS
